Cape Town

Health Nation

Wellness Warehouse  (they stock a lovely sweet potato gluten-free bread)

Organic Living

Giovannis (phone to order vegan gluten-free pumpkin seed rolls – delicious!)

Dischem (They stock a wide range of gluten-free and vegan products)

Dadda’s Spices (They stock chickpeas, lentils, dal, black beans etc for very cheap.)

Knead (They make a delicious gluten-free and vegan bread.  These lovely loaves sell out fast though so I suggest pre-ordering it.)

Euroberry  (Buying frozen berries and fruit from normal supermarkets can be very expensive.  Euroberry sells all sorts of frozen fruit at a fraction of the price directly to the public from their factory shop in Somerset West.)

Thank you so much for all the information here. I have recently become vegan (4 months ago) and I find that there is a lack of resources for new vegans. Another issue is that I hear about all these amazing vegan products, only to find out that one can’t get them in South Africa!

Anyway, thank you for your hard work!

      Hi Sheri

Thank you so much for your kind words – I’m so glad I could be of assistance. As a new vegan, if you are not already on instagram, I suggest you join – you get great ideas from other vegans there and learn so much so quickly. If you have any questions at all or are looking for any substitutes for non-vegan products that you used to enjoy, feel free to ask me via email or instagram.

All the best with your journey to health!
      Dr T
