Post-Workout: Pea Protein Shake
Breakfast: Strawberry Ice Cream (Going to post this soon – it is beyond amazing!)
Snack: Dried fruit with sunflower butter
Lunch: 7 layered mexican pie with guacamole, vegan sour cream and salsa. Baby spinach salad with strawberries, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, gherkins, israeli cucumbers, peppadews and a balsamic reduction.
Snack: nectarine and naartjie
Supper: Mount Nelson Planet restaurant 5 course vegan tasting menu
Crudites with squash-based dip
Crackers with Salsa (I wish I knew what they did to make that salsa so incredible..)
Apple rolls with herbs and cashew cream cheese
Gluten free seed bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil
Asparagus with macadamia sour cream and pesto
Beetroot plate – very interesting. Cooked beetroot, grated raw beetroot, beetroot puree and a beetroot pesto type concoction…All tasted completely different
Spinach risotto (my favourite of the evening)
Brinjal mushroom stack (amazing!), Quinoa balls, roasted tomato and stuffed mushroom (stuffed with a brinjal puree mixture). This plate was incredible
Oops….Kinda forgot to take a pic before gobbling up the dessert. It was a fruit terrine with raspberry jelly slices and berry coulis. When I saw it was a fruit based dessert, I was a bit annoyed….I was hoping for a chocolate dessert. But this was really beautiful and tasted amazing! I sent compliments to the chef:)
With tea, there were date/nut balls and raspberry turkish delight type sweets.
All in all a lovely experience and Planet restaurant is now definitely one of my favourite restaurants. Highly recommended to all vegans and all meals can be made gluten free too.
