Raw Black Forest Buckwheat Breakfast

IMG_4082IMG_4084So…I made my raw buckwheat breakfast yesterday, flavouring the porridge with vanilla, cinnamon, raw cacao, maca, peanut butter etc.  It was delicious and best of all?!  I had 2 more servings left for today!  I also have a big bag of frozen sweet black cherries in my freezer so I thought – how about a black forest porridge!  It was sooo good…It really tasted like cake for breakfast….just more porridgy…

Ingredients

  • 2 servings of chocolate and peanut butter flavoured buckwheat porridge from here
  • A bunch of frozen or fresh cherries
  • water
  • sweetener of choice (I used agave and erythritol/stevia mixture)

Instructions

Put the cherries into your food processor and process until smooth.  You may need to add a dash of water to thin it out a bit.  Add sweetener to taste.  Layer this cherry mixture with the buckwheat porridge until your glass is full.  Top as desired.

Whoever said porridge has to be boring?!
