I am a South African medical doctor with a
n obsession with pink lifelong passion for good food. I decided to go vegan in June 2013 and this blog is about my journey to veganism with a focus on good food, good health and enjoying every bite of every meal without ever feeling deprived. I am also severely gluten intolerant and therefore all recipes on my blog are gluten-free too. If you are not gluten intolerant, feel free to substitute gluten-free ingredients with glutinous flours/pastas etc. I believe firmly that the best state of health is achieved by consuming as wide a variety of plant-based nutrients as possible, while avoiding processed foods wherever possible. For this reason, most of my recipes are refined sugar-free (rather using natural sugars like dates/stevia/bananas etc) and use predominantly wholefood ingredients.
